Introduction
    Four London children—Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy—are sent to Professor Kirke's country home for protection during World War II. Kirke is an eccentric1 man and children find life in the house extremely dull. One day, Lucy suggests playing hide-and-seek. They don't know the game leads them to one huge exciting adventure!
    Lucy thinks she's found a great hiding place when she steps inside a dusty old wardrobe2. Little does she know that it leads to a magical snowy land called Narnia, where animals can talk and all are ruled over by the wise and kind lion Aslan. An evil witch has cursed Narnia to eternal3 winter, leaving the land covered in snow all year round. Before they know it, Lucy and her brothers and sisters find themselves in an epic4 battle to rid the magical land of the witch's curse.

Characters

Susan：
Susan is the elder of the two girls—and doesn't take any nonsense5 from her two brothers.
Edmund：
Edmund is quite a tricky character. The first person he meets in Narnia is the witch!
Lucy：
Lucy is the youngest of the siblings6 and first to enter the land of Narnia.
Peter：
Peter is the oldest of the Pevensie children. He's very brave and sensible.
Mr. Tumnus：
Mr. Tumnus is a faun7, so he has the legs and horns8 of a goat and the body of a man.
The Lion：
Noble Aslan is the rightful ruler of Narnia and everyone looks up to him9. He can speak and often seems kind and gentle. But like any lion, he can be powerful and dangerous, which proves to be pretty useful in his battles against the witch!
The Witch：
The White Witch, Jadis, can turn anyone to stone and her palace is decorated by statues of animals and people who have been touched by her wand. A bunch of evil magic creatures (from talking wolves to black-bearded dwarves10) help her out with her dirty work.

Narnia Nuts!

●The makers asked for permission to bring in 12 reindeer11 to New Zealand to pull the Ice Queen's sled12. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry refused. However, eight wolves were allowed in for filming.
●The amazing creature and special effects were created by the same team who made The Lord of the Rings trilogy13!
●Tilda Swinton (White Witch) hadn't read the book prior to14 filming.
●Co-producer Douglas Gresham is the stepson of C.S. Lewis, author of the novel upon which the film is based.
●The word “Aslan” means “lion” in Turkish.

Q: So tell us about walking through the wardrobe...
Georgie: It was cool! On the other side was a huge red runway20. I pretended I was model, ha-ha!
Will: The whole thing was magical. The set, the people...everything!

 

Q: What were the other movie characters like?
Anna: They were brilliant! I loved the Beaver21 family because they had such a funny lines to say!
Will: The White Witch was quite scary, but totally memorizing.

 

Q: Can you tell us any set secrets?
Skandar: The unicorns22 we had to ride were actually white horses with silvery horns stuck on their foreheads. Will's horse was always hitting me with his, ha-ha!

 

Q: It must have been such an adventure filming Narnia!
Skanda: It was, on and off set. We played quite a few jokes on each other as well!
Georgie: Will once stole Skandar's bottles of cola from the fridge...
Will: ... And I made Skandar eat a prop23 that was made out of sugar glass. It didn't taste of sugar though!
Georgie: I loved the posh24 tea set that I used in Mr Beaver's home. I felt like the Queen!

 

Q: Where would your own magical wardrobe lead?
Georgie: Into a world where everything was pink!
Will: Probably a place like Narnia.
Skandar: A world where there was endless food and you never, ever put on weight!
Anna: Snow would definitely feature, chocolate growing on trees and lots of shops!

吐纳思先生是个人羊，长着山羊的腿和角，又有人的身体。
狮子：
圣狮亚斯蓝是纳尼亚王国最公正的统治者，深受人们爱戴。他能说人语，平常看上去温文尔雅。但像任何狮子一样，他也会变得凶猛而危险，这在对付女巫中证明极其有用。
女巫：
白女巫贾迪丝能将任何人变成石头，她的宫殿里布满了被她的魔杖碰过后变成石雕的动物和人。一伙邪魔妖怪（从会说话的狼到黑胡子矮人）助纣为虐，帮她干着卑鄙的勾当。

安娜：他们真是才华横溢！我喜欢海狸全家，因为他们的台词有趣极了 !
威尔：白女巫非常可怕，但是绝对让人一见难忘。

问：能透露些道具的秘密吗？
斯坎达：我们的坐骑独角兽实际上是额头粘着银角的白马。威尔的马总是用它的银角撞我，哈哈！

问：拍摄《纳尼亚》肯定是种非常奇特的经历！
斯坎达：是的，戏里戏外都是。我们相互间还经常开些玩笑！
乔吉：威尔有一次从冰箱里偷走了斯坎达的可乐瓶……
威尔：……我还请斯坎达吃了一个用糖玻璃做的道具。那压根儿没有糖味！
乔吉：我喜欢在海狸先生家用过的那个漂亮的茶具，简直是王后般的享受！
