Koalas
Koalas live only in Australia. It’s a marsupial animal. Grown-up koalas usually are 70 to 80 centimeters tall. It has thick fur and sharp claws. It does not drink very often like most other animals, because it got 90% of its water from 12 kinds Eucalyptus leaves it eat.
Koalas like to have many Eucalyptuses around it. It sleeps about 18 to 22 hours a day because Eucalyptuses leaves are very tough and they need a lot of energy to digest. It’s balance is very well, even though it fall asleep on the trees. But it won’t fall off.
Koalas are endangered now. The government says that people cannot kill koalas. Australians and the other people in the world want the koalas to live.
There’s a picture of a koala on Australia money. And the toy koalas are the only souvenir in Australia. I love koalas.
