My vampire friend
Katlin hurried to my locker with a squeeze of smile on her face, trying to look sweet. “Hey! Jessica, do you have any plans for this afternoon?” She asked me as I put away a few science text books in my locker.
“Well, I have to go to the mall for some clothes since there will be a disco at the Club Nova tomorrow.” I replied, tugging in the books but they keep falling out.
“What a mere coincidence!” Katlin said, blinking with joy, “Cus I’m also invited to that disco, still wondering what I should wear.” I fixed my eyes on her figure, studied her from head to toe. Long blond hair put up in pony-tail, curved long eye-lashes with mascara at the end, still leaving bits of blacks solids and spots on the corner, deep blue eyes. She was wearing a silk blouse matched with purple mini-skirt and tango shoes.
“You really don’t need to worry, you look amazing with these.” I insisted. I finally managed to close that damn locker. I’ve got a point there, Katlin is a very fashionable teen with great style. She dresses perfect anytime, anywhere.
“Please! I can’t go in these. It’ll ruin my life. I must dress attractive on that day. Come on! It’s Club Nova, how can I wear this junk to a famous club like that? I’ll be nuts!” katlin frowned as shed replied, also polishing her nails at the same time. “So, I’ll see you around.”
HUH? See me around? “When? Why? How? And where?” My questions popped out like air in a poked balloon.
“The mall!” Katlin reminded, rolling her eyes, “For disco outfits.” Picking again at her sharp nails.
“Hey! I never agreed to ……” I called out but she was gone, completely disappeared into the crowd.
And this is Katlin. She always makes people do things her way or she’ll complain and cry like a baby telling all her brothers and boy friends how disrespecting people had been to her.
But really, I don’t want to hang out with her. For once and for all. What ever! But didn’t you notice, she was kind of nice today, I must be some use of her, or she wouldn’t act so kind.
What use can I be?
