We both read a part of the book first, then we ask questions about it. Here below is a part of our dialogue:
Connie: If you are Jack and you found that the tree house was filled with books. How will you feel and what will you do?
Jenny: I will feel surprised because I never seen a tree house that was filled with books before. I think I will pick out
one and read it, because I love books.
Connie: Me, too.
Jenny: What does the Pteranodon that Jack saw looked like?
Connie: It looked like a glider plane.
Jenny: Yeah, but you can also say that the Pteranodon that Jack saw has a crest behind its head, and it also had a sharp beak and huge bat-like wings.
Connie: Oh, OK. Why did Jack thought Annie was pretending when she shouted that there’s a monster outside the tree house
window?
Jenny: Because Jack know Annie like pretend stuff like monsters, and they were playing monster games when they were on their street.
Connie: OK.
Jenny: Where do Jack and Annie live?
Connie: They live in Frog Creek, Pennsylvania.
Jenny: What did Jack and Annie saw in the woods?
Connie: They saw a rope ladder in the woods. How old is Jack and Annie?
Jenny: Annie is seven and Jack is eight and a half.
After a while, we end our talk. I feel that Connie is the teacher and I'm the student. I think that we both talked well, but we were both nervous sometime, if we talk for several more times. We will not be nervous and have big progress.
