I'm ten years old now and my little brother Jimmy is three and a half, this Spring Festival, I played with him after lunch.
Jimmy was following me around and around. Then, I heard Mom called Jimmy to the dining-room to have a bit more food. Finally, I'm alone. I want to play a game with Jimmy, how about hide-and-seek? Yes, that will be it. It was always fun when I played that with my friends. I'll hide first, there's no need to tell Jimmy, he'll come looking for me himself once he noticed I'm gone. My eyes quickly looked around the living-room where I am. I cannot get pass the dining-room to the other rooms to hide, Jimmy will saw me and stick to me like glue again. Then, I have my eyes focused on the sofa, I decided that I'll hide behind the sofa, I also made special care so my feet don't stuck out or the top of my head. The next thing I know, I can't stop giggling quietly. Hey, here comes Jimmy! He's running and looking for me. I heard his footsteps were going towards the living-room, since that's where I am most of the time if I'm not in the study. He didn't look behind the sofa. I heard him say to the grown-ups puzzled: "Sister's disappeared!" He ran so much that Mom looked for me with him. At last, he found me. From his face I know that he had a lot of fun. Then, I told Jimmy to count to ten without peeking and he did. I ran quickly to the small room past the dining room, I know it's about ten seconds already so I closed the door to have a bit more time. I looked around fast and I noticed that little bit of empty space at the corner of the wall, it has the bed as a shield for me so it's a bit tricky for Jimmy to find me even if he do enter this room. I quickly went over the bed and down to that corner, it's tight, but I squashed myself into a cuddle and put my head down waiting quietly, my stomach was not very comfortable because I'm right on top of it, I waited and waited and waited and waited, but Jimmy did not come, then I heard Dad shouting: "Come on out, Jenny, Jimmy can't find you!" But I did not even budge, I want to have more fun waiting, plus, Jimmy hasn't even opened this door yet! At last, the door was opened, there was Jimmy and Dad, Dad told Jimmy that I'm not there, but I think Jimmy already saw the top of my head and he climbed onto the bed and he looked at me happily. I climbed out of that corner. I don't want to hide anymore since I already used up my best hiding places and had loads of fun too. So we went to do something else. |
