Today is Oct. 3rd, 2009. Today is the Moon Festival!
The Moon Festival is a Chinese traditional holiday with hundreds of years’ history. For Chinese, the Moon is a symbol of many good things. The character, moon, is often used to name places and people. Some great poets, such as Li Bai, used the Moon to express their ideas about love for family. To be most important, the Moon Festival is great time for family reunion. My favorite part of the Moon Festival is that I can enjoy moon cakes and appreciate the Moon with my family. This festival, my grandparents can not stay with us because they are in USA with my uncle’s family. But they wrote letters to me showing their deep love for me. It is a pity they are not here, but I am still very happy because my dear parents are with me.
